Annually, the University of Cambridge Infectious Diseases Interdisciplinary Research Centre organises a vibrant full-day conference ‘Cambridge Infectious Diseases Annual Meeting of Minds’, with 100 plus attendees and a wide range of topics covered. We are planning to repeat the event in November each year, and this year the meeting is being held on Friday 24 November at Downing College, Cambridge.

We are putting together a wide-ranging programme for the day, highlighting areas where working closer together can make an impact in human and animal health. This meeting provides a broad outlook and challenges and inspires us to be better than the sum of our parts. Please join us!

This year’s programme includes a special session on engineering and clinical diagnostics. Confirmed speakers include Prof. John Clarkson - Engineering, Prof, Lisa Hall - Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Dr. Julia Kenyan - Medicine, Dr Yorgo Modis - MRC LMB, Prof Ian Goodfellow - Pathology, Dr Charlotte Houldcroft- Archaelogy and Anthropology, Dr Mark Carrington - Biochemistry, Dr Zamin Iqbal The European Bioinformatics Institute, Dr David Aanensen - Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, Chris Hodkinson - VP Business Development, Owlstone Medical Ltd and more.
