This event is organised by Cambridge Science and Policy Exchange initiative and aims to provide an insight into the role of science in policy. While science-policy interaction is lacking in several cases, there are also many positive examples where scientific research and evidence have advised decision making. This event aims to highlight these areas, particularly to early-career researchers, with an end goal of increasing understanding and encouraging them to pursue a role in science policy.
The event includes established speakers for the European Parliament, the Royal Society, Defra, The Economist and many other organisations or government departments.
