Date: 11:00 - 12:00, 4th December 2015
Venue: Norwich Auditorium, Roger Needham Building (UIS) 7 JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge CB3 0RB

Tom Loosemore, the former Director of the Government Digital Service, will speak on Digital Government: Not Complicated, Just Hard.

Tom was the Deputy Director of the Government Digital Service in the Cabinet Office until October 2015. He will talk about the history and the lessons learned from 5 years with the GDS and the challenges of implementing Digital by Default in the public sector. The Financial Times recently reported that GDS was generated £1.7 billion in savings on a budget of £58 million in 2014-15 alone. The talk should be of interest to anyone concerned with maximising the potential of Digital to provide better services at lower cost.

This talk is part of the Cambridge University User Experience series.
