The C-CLEAR DTP will hold a Launch Celebration and Networking Event on Monday 24 June from 5pm-7pm at the Museum of Zoology, Cambridge.

The University of Cambridge and British Antarctic Survey are proud to announce the launch of the Cambridge Climate Life and Earth (C-CLEAR) NERC DTP.

Embedded in the outstanding research environments of the University of Cambridge and British Antarctic Survey (BAS), the C-CLEAR DTP is organised around three major research themes: Solid Earth and Geological Hazards, Climate Change and Environmental Processes, and Biology and Conservation.

Supervisors are based in the University Departments of Chemistry, Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, Earth Sciences, Genetics, Geography, Plant Sciences, Scott Polar Research Institute and Zoology, as well as the British Antarctic Survey. Many projects involve stakeholders as CASE partners, placement hosts and training advisors.

Students in the C-CLEAR cohort will engage in research projects of global significance and receive high-quality training in research, professional, technical and transferable skills through a focused core programme. Training is guided by personalised advice and the expertise of a network of partners in industry, government, the third sector and beyond. We look forward to welcoming our first cohort of 14 students in the autumn.

The Launch Celebration will bring supervisors and partners together to forge links and initiate the co-development of projects and other partnership opportunities.

To join us at the Launch Celebration and Networking Event, please register here by 31 May 2019.
