University Associate Professor, Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge
Dr Alexandre Kabla is a University Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. His research interests focus on the mechanical properties of soft disordered materials, including foams, granular materials, as well as biomaterials and living tissues. His current interests are fibrous networks rheology, embryo-morphogenesis and collective effects in cell populations.
Prior to taking up his position here in Cambridge, Dr Kabla worked as a Postdoctoral fellow in the Applied Mathematics Department of the Australian National University, and then as a Postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University.
