Andrew is the Head of Housing Policy Division at the Department of Work and Pensions. He is responsible for providing advice and analysis to Ministers on measures to support renters and home owners on low incomes, including the transition from Housing Benefit and Support for Mortgage Interest Rate into Universal Credit for working age households.

Previously, he led the Housing Research and Analysis Division at DWP and worked as an economist on housing issues in the Department of Communities and Local Government. He began his career in the Department for Transport.
