As Co-Director of Finance for Systemic Change, Dr Bell is working at the interface of finance and systemic risk, collaborating with the world’s largest asset-owners to enable their financial resources to be stewarded in service of planetary boundaries and just societies. She is an impact-focused senior professional with over 20 years leadership experience in establishing and growing innovative, impactful organisations and programmes that bridge academia and the public, private and third sectors.

Before moving to academia Belinda established a range of social ventures including those focusing on finance, ageing and young people. Working within and alongside many social enterprises that have raised external investment, Belinda’s academic research explores social finance.

At Cambridge, Belinda is a Visiting Fellow at the Judge Business School and a Senior Research Associate at Jesus College Intellectual Forum. Dr Bell’s work formed the subject of a REF submission that saw Cambridge Judge Business School rated No. 1 for impact in 2022 and Belinda has also previously received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement with Research.
