Cameron is a postdoctoral researcher at the Winton Centre for Risk and Evidence Communication at Cambridge (wintoncentre.maths.cam.ac.uk). He completed a PhD in Social Psychology at University of California Santa Barbara, and a position as Visiting Assistant Professor at Hamilton College in New York.

He researches the psychology of responses to society-level problems such as climate change, and designs persuasive messages based on content and framing. He uses motivations and social identities to build quantitative laboratory, survey, and field studies on communication and behaviour in social contexts.
