Dr Chris Foulds joined the Global Sustainability Institute at Anglia Ruskin as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in October 2013. He has a background in environmental sciences, and in particular climate change, sustainable energy, buildings, and digital economy. These interests have developed more recently in line with the disciplines of geography, sociology, and science and technology studies.

His research interests include: Social practice theory; sociotechnical theories; everyday life; sustainable consumption; domestic energy consumption; built environment; Passivhaus; building monitoring; digital feedback technologies; professional practices; societal transitions; innovation; climate change; and interdisciplinarity.

Dr Foulds has been involved in co-ordinating and/or helping run numerous public events, including climate change summer schools, one-to-one secondary school mentoring, and public seminars.
