Head of Gatsby Plant Science Education Programme, Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge

Dan Jenkins is the Head of the Gatsby Plant Science Education Programme based at the Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge, where he directs the Science and Plants for Schools and the Gatsby Plant Science Summer School projects. The Gatsby Plant Science Education Programme aims to increase participation and interest in plant science in schools and universities, from online resources for schools and college teachers, workshops and award schemes for education professionals through to an annual summer school for UK first year bioscience undergraduates.

Dan was previously the Project Manager for the Science and Plants for Schools project. He has also previously held roles with the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, the Institute of Education at UCL, and the former Science Learning Centre in London.
