Daniel Shin is a venture capitalist and senior luxury fashion executive. Daniel is a founding member and managing partner of KingsBay Capital, a cross-border venture capital firm based in San Francisco and Seoul. Daniel also oversees corporate and business development at MCM, a German luxury brand. Prior to that, Daniel served in various executive and management positions at leading conglomerates based in Korea such as Hanwha Group, Korea Telecom, Daesung Group, CJ Group and also worked at global management consultancy, Andersen Consulting (now Accenture.) Daniel has published several books and is a frequent speaker around the globe on the subjects related to innovation and entrepreneurship. Daniel currently teaches at Korea University Business School as an adjunct professor. Daniel was nominated as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum at Davos since 2016. He was also honoured to become a Yale World Fellow under Yale’s former president Richard Levin's legacy in 2013. Daniel received DBA from l'Université Paris Dauphine (Paris IX), Paris Sciences et Lettres. He received his master's and bachelor's degrees from Stern School of Business, New York University and Kelley School of Business, Indiana University at Bloomington respectively. Daniel completed post-graduate studies at Harvard Kennedy School, Oxford University and Princeton University.
