Director, Advanced Manufacturing, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy

Gavin Lambert joined the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in May 2016, and is Director for Advanced Manufacturing.

He began his career as an engineer and moved via consultancy into the Civil Service. He has worked in a range of government departments and in local government. Prior to joining BEIS, Gavin was Director for Transformation at the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Defence.
