Guillaume Hennequin is a theoretical neuroscientist researching how neurons work together to produce behaviour. He uses methods from stochastic dynamical systems and control theory, together with statistical/machine learning approaches, to build and analyse model brain networks that learn to solve challenging computational tasks. He has a specific interest in probabilistic inference in sensory and motor areas. One goal of this modelling approach is to offer useful conceptual frameworks to help make sense of an increasingly large, but often puzzling, body of experimental data.
