Mrs Jennifer Betts is currently a Research Student in the School of Electronics Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Queen's University Belfast. Her research focuses on privacy and security issues for home computer users.

Mrs Betts' background is in social science: she holds an MSc in Social Research Methodology from the University of Ulster. Before joining Queen's University Belfast she worked as a research officer at the NI Assembly for almost three years, after one year as a researcher at the Institute for Conflict Research.
