John Gledhill is a Departmental Lecturer in the Politics of Security Governance

Dr John Gledhill is a Departmental Lecturer in the Politics of Security Governance, in the Department of International Development at the University of Oxford. He was previously an LSE Fellow in Global Politics at the London School of Economics, and has taught at Georgetown and George Washington Universities. He holds a PhD in Comparative Government from Georgetown University and was awarded the University Gold Medal for his undergraduate work at Trinity College, Dublin.

Together with Dr Joerg Friedrichs, John teaches Qualitative Research Methods for the MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy. He also offers two optional courses for the programme: Security Issues in Fragile States and Peacebuilding & Statebuilding.
