Kaveh Jahanshahi is a Research Associate at the Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge, and a Senior Analyst with RAND Europe. His research focuses on transport and land use modelling and planning, at RAND he is currently working on several projects including the Tyne and Wear Land Use Model, and novel applications of structural equation models for car ownership and travel choice forecasting.

Kaveh holds a PhD in Transport Modelling from the University of Cambridge, and an MSc in Transport Modelling and BSc in Civil Engineering, both from Iran's IK International University. Before joining the University of Cambridge he was a Senior Transport Modeller for WSP Group. In this role he worked on a variety of projects, including the development of the Department for Transport's "National Transport Model", and APRIL, which models the impact of transport policies in London, such as road pricing and area licencing.
