Liz Robin did her medical training first at the University of Oxford, and then at Westminster Medical School. After hospital jobs in medicine and psychiatry, she went on to train in public health medicine in East London, and held a consultant post in public health at Redbridge and Waltham Forest Health Authority, before taking up her job as Director of Public Health at NHS Cambridgeshire, the county of her birth. She has also spent much of the last few years working on the Cambridgeshire Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.
