Dr Marek Tyl is a Co-founder and the Chief Executive at the Innovation Forum, a global, interdisciplinary network of young researchers, industry professionals and policy makers. He is interested in strategy, systems thinking, entrepreneurship and technology transfer.

Marek has a strong interest in knowledge exchange between Academia, Industry and Government and is an advocate of collaborative projects and open innovation initiatives. He is a co-founder of Cambridge Squared, a technology strategy consultancy.

He completed his PhD at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge working with Professor Ernest Laue on structural aspects of chromatin assembly. His research interests are focused on epigenetics in stem cell and cancer biology, drug discovery and the development of biological tools for epigenetic therapy. He is currently a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Imperial College London working on biochemical characterisation of novel chromatin associated factors and their role in cancer.
