Dr Maryam Imani is a Lecturer in Water Engineering, in the Department of Engineering & the Built Environment at Anglia Ruskin University. She has extensive research experience in different water and waste water-related projects and has collaborated with leading water, wastewater and environmental research groups, industries and regulators.

Dr Imani is a specialist in flood modelling, control and management; integrated modelling and analysis of water/waste water systems; optimal design and control of water/waste water systems; risk-based modelling and analysis; water quality assessment and management; climate change and urbanisation impacts analysis and management; sustainability and resilience of water/waste water systems.

She attained her PhD at the University of Exeter and has previously worked as a research fellow in the Safe & SuRe Water Management project at the Centre for Water Systems (CWS), University of Exeter.
