AHRC-Funded CSaP Policy Intern (September 2015 - December 2015)

Matt joined CSaP on a three-month AHRC Policy Internship in autumn 2015. His PhD in History, which he is working on at Durham University and is also AHRC-funded, is on the origins, work and impact of the Pearson Commission, a World Bank-sponsored review of aid and development which published its findings in 1969.

Matt's research interests are in the fields of aid and development policy, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s, as well as a broader interest in the study of of elites, bureaucracies and transnational policy communities.

Matt holds a BA (Hons) in History from Durham University and an MSt in Global and Imperial History from the University of Oxford.
