Dr Meltem Sengelen

Dr Meltem Şengelen has been a Lecturer in Public Health at Hacettepe University, Turkey, since 2011. Her major areas of research concern epidemiology, ageing, tobacco control, cancer statistics, cancer prevention and research ethics.

Prior to her current role, Dr Şengelen was a Research Assistant in the Institute of Oncology at Hacettepe University, and before that she was a clinical research associate at Bristol Myers-Squibb, following her practice as a medical doctor.

Dr Şengelen has a PhD in Epidemiology, an MSc in Cancer Epidemiology and a Doctor of Medicine degree, all from Hacettepe University.
