Chartered Surveyor, Cambridge Architectural Research (CAR)

Nichola Harrison is a chartered surveyor at Cambridge Architectural Research, with a background in commercial development. She spent 14 years as a councillor in Cambridge (at the City and then the County council). She was responsible for the planning/transport/economic development portfolio at the City during the period when the growth strategy, contained in the 2003 Structure Plan, was being formulated.

Nichola was also a member of the eastern regional planning panel at that stage. She was involved in the implementation of the strategy as a member of the Cambs Horizons Implementation Committee and also the joint planning committee for the growth areas. She worked in the property development industry earlier in her career and has been involved with urban planning/urban design in numerous other ways, including as chair of the eastern regional architecture and built environment centre.

At CAR she is working on a project modelling the personal costs and benefits of road pricing schemes.
