Dr Nicola Morant is an Affiliated Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge. Her current research covers various areas of mental health including acute care, psychiatric medication management, early intervention services and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. She mainly uses interviews and focus groups to give voice to the perspectives of mental health service users within these projects, and to explore the views and experiences of various stakeholder groups (service users, carers and professionals).
The projects she is involved in span a range of research contexts including service delivery and evaluation, development, evaluation and implementation of clinical tools, randomised controlled trials, and purely qualitative work. She is also interested in the theory of social representations and, in particular, its application in organisational settings.
