Professor Paul Alexander is Professor of Astrophysics, and Head of Astrophysics in the Department of Physics, Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. His research interests focus on Star formation and dynamics in external galaxies: global properties of normal and starburst systems and their relationships to AGNs. Physics of radio sources, especially asymmetries and environment. Data reduction software. Non-linear propagation in physical systems.

Professor Alexander is also a Fellow of Jesus College.
