Serena Flammini is an academic collaborator at the University of Cambridge, Centre for Technology Management. Her research interests are on open innovation management and emerging technologies, with focus on the business model innovation issues related to these topics.

Serena completed a Ph.D. from the Department of Business Studies at Roma Tre University (Italy) with a thesis on emerging technologies and their influence on business model dynamics, where she focused on 3D printing applications in the food industry. Serena has spent the last 15 months of the Ph.D. as academic visitor at the Centre for Technology Management, University of Cambridge, supervised by Dr. Letizia Mortara.

Before this, she graduated with honors in Economics and Management (focus on Strategy and Management) at Roma Tre University conducting part of the research for her master dissertation at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley."
