Senior Statistician, Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Dr Simon Bond is the Senior Statistician in the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The CCTU works with researchers to conduct the highest quality clinical research, addressing important questions relating to human health and disease.
The main goa of the CCTU is to deliver world class clinical trials of all phases include all aspects and all stages of a clinical trial: from costing for grant proposals, developing protocols, obtaining necessary approvals, delivery, quality control, to data management, final analysis and reporting of outcomes.
Working with investigators from Cambridge University Health Partners (CUHP) and the Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), the CCTU's major activities include:
- Drug trials (Clinical Trials of investigational medicinal products - CTIMPs)
- Medical device trials
- Mechanistic and physiological research studies
- Observational studies
- Qualitative research
