Stuart Rogers is Chief Scientist at the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas). He is a fisheries ecologist with over 30 years of experience, providing science to support UK and European marine environmental policy. He has a close interest in the science advisory process, and is accountable for the provision of both short-term and strategic advice to Defra on the impacts of human activities, and science to deliver the ecosystem approach to management. He has published widely in the scientific literature and now manages scientists and technologists centred at Laboratories in Weymouth and Lowestoft.
