Thomas Verhagen is Senior Programme Manager for the Banking Environment Initative at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. His work focuses on financial regulation for climate change risks, sustainable supply chain finance and the utilisation of fintech for corporate and governmental sustainability purposes. He has recently published on practical lessons which can be applied in fintech for sustainability and on ways in which China’s soft commodities imports could be made more sustainable through finance.

Thomas joined CISL in August 2015, having previously spent ten years at ABN AMRO bank. At ABN AMRO he held responsibility for credit portfolio management and business model innovation. He has a BSc and a MSc in International Business from Tilburg University.
