Area Director – South West England & West Midlands, Cities and Local Growth Unit, BEIS & DCLG

Tony Bray is Area Director – South West England & West Midlands, Cities and Local Growth Unit (a joint BEIS and DCLG team). He is responsible for delivery of Government’s local growth and devolution policy objectives in these areas, including devolution deals with West of England, West Midlands Combined Authority & Cornwall.

Previously, Tony worked with South West RDA and East of England RDA to deliver economic development and regeneration objectives, Defra to deliver rural development policy and reshape delivery and various local authorities. This followed a career in the private sector. He has a PhD from the University of Reading.
