Waseem Yaqoob is a Research Fellow in Politics and History at Pembroke College, Cambridge. His main research interests concern twentieth-century German political thought, seen through the lens of concerns about geopolitics, culture and economics among German intellectuals.

More broadly, Waseem is interested in the history of European political thought and intellectual culture, particularly the development of ideas surrounding social democracy, political economy and international order. He is also completing a book historicising the political thought of German émigré thinker Hannah Arendt.
