CSaP is delighted to welcome Dr Steven Wooding, who has joined CSaP to explore establishing a policy research and analysis programme. Steven takes on the role of Lead for Research and Analysis and will work closely with Executive Director, Rob Doubleday, to build a programme that complements and strengthens CSaPs current activities.

Steven was previously at RAND Europe, a not-for-profit public policy research organisation, and held a number of roles including Director of Innovation and Technology, and Senior Research Leader in Innovation, Health and Science. He has also co-directed a research unit for the Department of Health examining the science of science. Steven has held grants from, and worked for, many research funding organisations from across the world including USA, Canada, Denmark, Australia and Holland.

Steven said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to take Cambridge's world class research further into the policy sphere. I'm excited by the opportunity to carry out research in the science of science policy and to work with academic experts in other fields to inform public policy across a wider range of areas."

Rob Doubleday said: "There is great potential synergy between the brokering activities of CSaP and a policy research programme. I'm delighted to welcome Steven to CSaP, and I look forward to working closely with him to pilot this new programme."
