Development and infrastructure
Science and research have a critical role to play in development and infrastructure. From interventions to improve public health in developing countries, to major infrastructure projects at home and abroad, the involvement of experts from the research community, including technologists, engineers, medics and social scientists, often tip the balance towards success rather than failure.
The University of Cambridge has a long-standing interest in international development and is also home to the one of the world’s leading engineering departments. CSaP provides a link between these leading research communities and policy makers in the Department for International Development, the Department for Transport, the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Treasury.
