Climate Seminar 1: Practical climate politics for the 2020s - prospects for the UK

The first seminar in the series will be chaired by Lord Simon McDonald, Master, Christ's College, with guest speakers Lord Deben (John Gummer), Chairman of the UK's Climate Change Committee and Professor Emily Shuckburgh, Director, Cambridge Zero, University of Cambridge.

The 2023 Christ's College Climate Seminar Series will focus on the big questions facing UK policy makers as they seek to accelerate action on climate change in the face of geopolitical challenges.

This series is held in collaboration with the Centre for Science and Policy, Cambridge Zero, and Professor Charles Kennel, Director Emeritus at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California San Diego.
