The Climate Change Act and timescales for policy and action

Seminar 2 of the 2017 Climate Change Seminar Series

Date: Thursday 2 February 2017

Time: 17:30-19:00

Venue: Plumb Auditorium, Christ's College, with a reception to follow (map)

Science, politics, knowledge management, innovation and markets all play a role in climate change action, but what is the role of the University of Cambridge as an ‘anchor institution’ for these? Bringing together speakers spanning the worlds of research and policy, this series of events will explore how the multifaceted aspects of climate change action can come together to help us make the right decisions for the long run.

Networking and drinks will follow.

Clive Maxwell, Director General of Energy Transformation in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), will be speaking on The Climate Change Act and Timescales for Policy and Action with responses from Professor Susan Owens (Department of Geography, University of Cambridge) and Dr Chris Hope (Judge Business School, University of Cambridge).

This event is free to attend but as places are limited, please register your attendance here.
