Professor Eric Yeatman is Professor of Microengineering, and Deputy Head of Department, in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. His current research interests are in radio frequency and photonic MEMS devices, energy sources for wireless devices, and sensor networks.

Professor Yeatman has published more than 160 papers and patents on optical devices and materials, and micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). In 2011 he was awarded the Royal Academy of Engineering Silver Medal. He is Co-Director of the Imperial's Digital Economy Laboratory

He is also co-founder and chairman of Microsaic Systems plc, which listed on the London Stock Exchange in April 2011. Microsaic develops and markets miniature mass spectrometers based on MEMS technology, and is the first company to introduce a miniature mass spectrometer for liquid analysis to the market.
