Mohib is Deputy Director with responsibility for the UK’s bilateral trade policy and relationship covering North America, China & Hong Kong, and Asia Pacific at the Department for International Trade.
Mohib has previously led policy on mergers and takeovers and competition at the department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. He spent a large part of his civil service career on national security at the Home Office and Cabinet Office, covering organised crime, policing, counter terrorism and cyber security. Prior to that, Mohib worked on social exclusion and welfare reform at the Department for Work and Pensions, the Social Exclusion Unit and, before entering the civil service, at the New Policy Institute think tank.
Mohib holds a first degree in Government from the London School of Economics and an MA in public policy from Queen Mary, University of London.
