Applications for Policy Innovation Fund are now closed.

CSaP's Policy Innovation Fund aims to help researchers, particularly early career researchers, to develop, test and carry out innovative policy engagement activities.

The Policy Innovation Fund (PIF) offers awards of up to £10,000 to enable Cambridge researchers to work with policy partners to share research evidence and support its use in policy making. The duration of the project can be up to nine months.

Each application for funding will be reviewed by a committee of academics and policy professionals. The PIF Committee will evaluate the applications based on how policy-relevant, practical and innovative the proposed activity is. The call for applications is open until 5 July 2024.

Who can apply?

Academics and researchers from any department or faculty at the University of Cambridge can apply for PIF funding. Proposals from researchers new to, or experienced in, policy engagement are welcome. All proposals for PIF must include at least one policy partner.

For further details, please refer to the guidance notes and assessment criteria.

How to apply?

Please submit the completed PIF application form and other relevant documents by email to: pif@csap.cam.ac.uk.

All proposals must be submitted by 5pm on 5 July 2024

CSaP is happy to provide further consultation and guidance in drafting the proposal. If you wish to schedule a meeting to discuss your policy ideas, please contact Kavya Neeba: kavya.neeba@csap.cam.ac.uk.
