James was responsible for developing and running a range of executive programmes, as well as leading the design and development of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership’s (CISL) online courses.

James joined CISL from Verdantix, an independent analyst firm, where he provided research and consulting to help clients succeed in the world of sustainable business. Earlier he conducted research for a global initiative on The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB), and for the Natural Capital Project. James holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
