Kirsty is working on a series of Levelling Up Deep Dives which aim to develop a thorough, more holistic understanding of places through dialogue with local areas, and use these insights to support areas with their levelling up priorities. Previously she was a Delivery Advisor, responsible for delivery cohesion across the Education Recovery portfolio at the Department for Education after the Covid-19 crisis. Before that, she was a Senior Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, where she led on strategic engagement for Local Government Response. She started her Whitehall career at MHCLG in 2016 where she worked on Housing policy before moving to Shielding Strategy. She had a prior career in civic arts creating large scale, international arts events that drew together communities and community held resources. Kirsty studied Visual Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design and holds an MA in Performance Art from the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam.
