Patricia Killiard is responsible for strategy, operational planning, and delivery of library and information services to support research, teaching and learning. She manages University Library departments acquiring and supporting modern published collections to support research, including journals and other electronic content. She also oversees the management of 31 faculty and departmental libraries affiliated to Cambridge University Libraries. Since 2019 the directorate has included the Office of Scholarly Communications which provides the research community with Open Access and research data management support, assisting them in complying with the REF through OA deposit, and providing an extensive programme of training on Open Research practice and policies. She leads for the library on supporting the implementation of Plan S. Other current interests include estate planning, particularly in relation to library and education space.
