Alexandra Meagher is a member of the social investment and finance team within the Cabinet Office. She works on the global agenda for social investment, linking UK policy with European social business policy and work on supporting the “pioneer gap” in the social investment market.
Prior to joining the civil service, Alexandra worked as an Associate at the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London and Paris. Before this, she worked for the ICTY in The Hague, and for a human rights academic in Sydney. Alexandra has a law degree from the University of Sydney and also attended l’Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris ("Sciences Po").
Alexandra is keen to use her policy fellowship to focus on how governments can take an evidence-based approach to developing policies that focus on creating and promoting knowledge centres, networks and hubs.
