Belen is a Senior Associate Director at the University's Development and Alumni Relations office, with particular responsibility for engagement in Europe and Latin America.

Before joining CUDAR, Belen was a CSaP staff member providing support in the managing and execution of CSaP's Events and Communications, including the 2015 Annual Conference.

Belen's first association with CSaP was in 2014 during the final stages of her PhD in Genetics when she joined as an BBSRC-funded policy intern in order to explore how research translates into policy decisions and how scientific advances can influence and better society.

Belen holds a BA Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, an MRes in Stem Cell Biology and a PhD in Genetics from the University of Nottingham.
