Policy Adviser to Shadow Minister for Universities, Science and Skills, Liam Byrne MP
Charlie Samuda is currently a policy adviser to Liam Byrne MP, Shadow Minister for Universities, Science and Skills. He manages the development of policy on science and innovation as well as a broader stream of work to support progress towards future economic policy based on "Inclusive Growth".
Prior to working in Parliament Charlie was a policy adviser in Shell’s climate change and alternative energy team where he focused on international environmental policy and low carbon technology. He has a BSc in International Relations from LSE and an MSc in International Development from the University of Oxford. He is an active Labour member and is currently a Vice-Chair of the party’s Campaign for International Development.
