Daniel is senior government statistician with 10 years experience working in a number of central government statistical roles. Daniel began his career working in the Government Statistical Service in the Department for Health and has since worked in a number of roles in MHCLG, including in central strategy, fire statistics, planning and affordable housing before taking overall responsibility for all MHCLG housing and planning statistics.
A large part of his career has been spent producing detailed statistical reports and providing evidence for policy development most recently including various areas of housing and planning policy.
Daniel current role is head of housing and planning statistics for MHCLG, leading a team of statisticians and working closely with social researchers, economist and policy colleagues. The team covers a wide range of data on housing and planning, providing analysis and evidence to support the policy development agenda of the department.
