Frances is Deputy Director for Fire Resilience and Major Events within the Home Office. This involves leading on fire and rescue risk, resilience and response to major incidents and crisis including Wildfires and major fires.

Frances also coordinates the Home Office’s work to ensure the safety and security of major UK events such as the AI Safety Summit and HM King’s Coronation.

Before joining the Home Office, Frances had various roles within the Cabinet Office including leading major contingency planning programmes within the Civil Contingencies Secretariat and as Head of Private Office for the Minister for the Constitution.
