Prior to her role as Chief Operating Officer at Cambridge City Council, Jane held roles as Director, Neighbourhoods and Communities and as Arts and Events Manager at Cambridge City Council. Before that she was Chief Executive of ADeC, an arts development charity as well as Chair of Arts Development UK, and Chair of the National Culture & Leisure Forum. Jane was awarded a PhD from the Open University for her thesis exploring measurement in cultural policy in England, and the difficulties of demonstrating the impact of the arts in ways that meet the needs of government.
