Director, Cambridge Admissions Office, University of Cambridge

Jon Beard is the Director of the Admissions Office at the University of Cambridge, with a remit that covers undergraduate and postgraduate admissions, domestic and international student recruitment, and widening participation. His role is primarily concerned with generating the strongest field of applications, promoting access to the University, and providing the best possible applicant experience. Jon is a member of the Education Advisory Group for The Sutton Trust, a trustee of the Brightside Trust, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for an academy in his home town in Essex.

Before joining the University of Cambridge in 2008, Jon spent ten years in a variety of admissions and recruitment roles at the University of East Anglia.
