PhD Candidate, Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge
ESRC-Funded CSaP Policy Intern (April 2014 - July 2014)

Katia joined CSaP as an ESRC Policy Intern in April 2014 to provide support on two of CSaP's Policy Challenges: Ageing and Wellbeing and Food Security in the UK. In particular, she will help to identify and recruit key academic experts, organise and convene workshops, and conduct social network analysis. She has also recently worked on the Behavioural Insights into Emergency Planning and Response Policy Challenge.

Katia is enthusiastic about the communication of science, and helped put together CSaP's 2014 Annual Conference page. During her internship, she hopes to learn more about the relationship between science and policy, and how evidence informs policy making.

Katia is a PhD student at the Faculty of Education. Her research focuses on identity and belonging amongst individuals who had a mobile, international childhood. She holds a BSc in Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method from the London School of Economics and an MPhil in Psychology and Education from Cambridge.
