In addition to his a BSc (Hons) in Construction Technology and Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana, Kwadwo holds a PhD from the Department of Real Estate and Construction at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He used the social construction of technology (SCOT) approach to explore the complex interactions embedded in a project-based attempt to transfer technology into a new environment.

He previously worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Hong Kong University where he investigated how small and medium construction firms were responding to a government mandate for compulsory building information modelling (BIM) use on all public works projects. Specifically, he examined these developments through the ‘Digital Divide’ theoretical lens. With industry experience in both consulting and on-site roles serving clients and contractors on various building projects, Kwadwo has extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Kwadwo seeks to bring all his research and industry experiences, knowledge and skills to contribute to exciting world-class research projects in a supportive multi-disciplinary environment. Areas of research that interest him have to do with how technological innovation, technology adoption and implementation impact people, processes and actions in project, organisation or industry settings alongside implications for the built environment and society at large.
