Lisa Ronan is a Senior Research Associate, and Bernard Wolfe Health Neuroscience Research Fellow at the Department of Psychiatry where she have worked for the past 10 years. She has a primary degree in Experimental Physics, a Masters degree in Medical Physics and a PhD in Neuroscience.

Her research focuses on understanding the link between obesity and the brain. She recently demonstrated that childhood obesity is associated with significant brain structural alterations, and that in adults, obesity is linked to an increase in brain-age of 10 years from mid-life onward.
